Obituary of Michael Anthony Doporto

Michael Anthony Doporto Sr. December 07, 1974 - July 31, 2015 Funeral services for Michael Anthony Doporto Sr., 40, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, August 7, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Arthur Sanchez officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 6, 2015 from noon until 8:00 pm. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Michael was born on December 7, 1974 in Hobbs, NM to Eloy Doporto and Susanna Escobedo and passed away on July 31, 2015 at his home. Michael grew up in Lovington and graduated from Lovington High School in 1993. He married Candace Eubank in Lovington on March 29, 2005. He was employed as an operator for Waste Control Specialists. He liked video games and fishing and loved playing baseball and especially loved coaching his son’s baseball teams. His favorite sport teams were the New England Patriots and the New York Yankees. He enjoyed teasing his children and he had a sense of humor that would make anyone smile. Michael was always very respectful and courteous of others. He loved his dogs, as they were a source of joy to him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents: Jose Doporto Sr., Eberardo Escobedo and Ramona Hennington and his mother-in-law, Suzette Eubank. Michael is survived by his wife, Candace of the home; five children: Michael Jr., Dillon, Ethan, Zachary and Taylor, all of Lovington; his mother: Susanna Escobedo of Lovington; his father: Eloy Doporto of Lovington; his grandmother: Esperanza Doporto of Lovington and a host of other family members and friends.
