Watch the Tribute Lucy Menchaca December 11, 1970 - April 06, 2013 Obit for Lucy Menchaca & infant daughter, Magdalena Nevaeh Menchaca Funeral services for Lucy Menchaca, 42, of Lovington and her infant daughter, Magdalena Nevaeh Menchaca, who passed away on October 6, 2011 and was cremated, will be held on Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at 10:00 am at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Pastor Pablo Tienda officiating. Burial will follow at 2:00 pm NM time at Brownfield Cemetery in Brownfield, Texas. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Menchaca was born on December 11, 1970 in Brownfield, TX to Sabas and Rosa (Gutierrez) Longoria and passed away in Lovington on April 6, 2013. She married Jesus “Jesse” Menchaca in Brownfield, TX in 1986. Lucy grew up in Meadow, TX and was a wonderful homemaker. She enjoyed dancing; was a great cook; was very supportive of her kids in their sports and was very family oriented. She loved spending time with her parents, friends and family and especially her grandbaby. She kept everyone laughing with her great sense of humor and had a lot of compassion for others. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter. She is survived by her husband, Jesse of the home; her parents of Tahoka, TX; two sons: Marciano Robert and wife Alicia Menchaca of Hobbs, NM and Ruben Jesus Menchaca of Lovington; two daughters: Jessica and husband Jeffery Ortega and Rosa Blanca Menchaca both of Lovington; two brothers: Sabas & wife Christina Longoria Jr. and David Longoria all of Lubbock, TX; two sisters: Sylvia & husband Trino Paiz and Margie and husband Ricky Paiz all of Sundown, Tx ; one grandson: Matthew Contreras Jr. and numerous nieces and nephews. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm on Tuesday April 9th at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013 from 8:30 am until Rosary time.
