Obituary of Esperanza Rodriguez

Esperanza Rodriguez December 18, 1941 - May 04, 2013 Funeral services for Esperanza Rodriguez, 71, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, May 7, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Cristo Viene Church with Pastor Refugio Porras officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Rodriguez was born on December 18, 1941 in La Hacienda, Mexico to Carlos Sr. and Cleofas (Leyva) Pando and passed away at her home on May 4, 2013. She married Ramon Rodriguez in Lovington, NM on April 4, 1959. She came to the United States 71 years ago, when she was just a baby, and was very proud of becoming a United States citizen in 1970. She enjoyed shopping, gardening, cooking and was an avid TV watcher, especially liking the program “Murder She Wrote”. She was very family oriented and loved her family very much. She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; one son: Raymond Rodriguez and one brother: Atilano Pando. Mrs. Rodriguez is survived by one son: David Rodriguez of Lovington; two brothers: Domingo and wife Dolores Pando of Lovington and Carlos Jr. and wife Evangelina Pando of Hobbs, NM; four sisters: Reyes and husband Heliodoro Rey of Lovington; Cruz and husband Teclo Tarin of Odessa, TX; Adelaida Moreno of Lovington and Francis Valencia of Mission, TX; three Grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
