It is much too soon to be offering condolences again to a family so dear to my heart. I've called him many names over the years, but Mr. Sax was always my favorite. He had a heart of gold, the patience of Job and a firm yet loving demeanor. The memories will have to suffice for now
, but I know that heaven is now blessed with a large front porch with some amazing folks from Avenue M sitting on it all together. RIP Dale, you were a man among men.

In 6th grade, Lynn Carter Morgan, Cathy Ready Kenner and I would stand behind Mr. Saxton at his desk and lightly pull our fingertips across his flatop haircut.
We were fascinated.
