Billy Wayne Cramer May 22, 1938 - November 26, 2015 Funeral services for Billy Wayne Cramer, 77 of LaRue, Texas and formerly of Jal, NM will be held on Monday, November 30, 2015 at 10:00 am CST at LaPoynor Church of Christ in Poynor, TX. Burial will follow at Poynor Cemetery. Texas arrangements are under the care of Autry Funeral Home of Frankston, TX. Billy Wayne was born on May 22, 1938 in Summerfield, Louisiana to Norman and Daisy Pauline (Green) Cramer and passed away at his home on Thursday, November 26, 2015. He grew up in Louisiana and graduated from Summerfield High School and later was employed by Arkla Gas Co. of Louisiana for several years before he joined the United Stated Navy and served his country aboard the USS Ticonderoga aircraft carrier. After discharge from the Navy he was employed by El Paso Natural Gas and made his home in New Mexico until shortly after retirement. He then moved to Texas to be close to his parents as they aged. During his time in NM he was active in his church and with his children’s activities and was a friend to all. He is a Past Master of Jal Masonic Lodge #65 in Jal, NM and a member of LaPoynor Church of Christ. He was a man with a great sense of humor, enjoyed his fishing trips with his friends, always had a willing hand to help if someone needed it and he loved his family very much. He married JoAnn Good on October 18, 1986 in Jal, NM and they have shared twenty nine years. He was preceded in death by his parents and one step-daughter: Sharon Huntley. He is survived by his wife, JoAnn of the home; four children: J.D. and wife Kim Cramer of Mertzon, TX; Twyla and husband Eddie Pruett of Tulsa, OK; Tanya and husband Johnny Mack Owen II of Jal, NM and Trisha and husband Johnny Mack Rounds II of Batesville, AR; one stepdaughter: LeAnne Cecil of Menominee, Michigan; one sister: Carolyn and husband Frank Peoples of Mobile, Alabama; ten grandchildren: Scott & wife Pam Pruett of Tulsa, OK; Kaylee and husband Gary Noble of Coweta, OK; Tiona and husband Ray Fabela of Jal, NM, Taylah and husband Matt Mata of Jal, NM, Tressa and husband Jay Bennett of San Angelo, TX; and Taryn Owen of Kermit, TX; Darah Rounds of Batesville, AR and Trey and wife Prissy Rounds of Jonesboro, AR; Makenzie Cramer and Cade Cramer of San Angelo, TX; Also four step-grandchildren: Eric and Breann Cecil of Menominee, MI; and Trey and Chad Cobb of Lubbock, TX. Also surviving him are thirteen great-grandchildren and a niece and nephew and a host of friends. In lieu of flowers he requested donations be made to Lila Lane Outreach Ministries, 101 Lila Lane, Athens, TX 75751. Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 29, 2015 at Autry Funeral Home in Frankston, TX from 5:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com to be forwarded to Texas.
