Obituary of Ryan Madrid
Please share a memory of Ryan to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Ryan Madrid graced this world on April 18, 1987 to loving parents, Ralph and Delma Madrid. He embraced heaven on Thursday July 18, 2019. Ryan was raised in Lovington, baptized at St. Thomas Catholic Church and attended Lovington public schools. As a child, Ryan and his siblings enjoyed riding bikes in the neighborhood, playing football in the hallway and watching movies. During his high school years he was a member of the Lovington Wildcat football team where he played the position of center and graduated in 2005. Along with football, Ryan also enjoyed soccer, played wiffle baseball during the summertime and basketball at the youth center with friends and family. Ryan was a fan of many sports teams including the Florida State Seminole's, the Duke Blue Devil's and the Dallas Cowboys in which he attended many games. He loved to play XBOX games with his friends and especially his nephew. He was an uncle to two nephews and three nieces whom he loved and enjoyed spending time with. Ryan worked at many places throughout the years where he collected many friends along the way. He was a friend to all; anyone who knew him knew he had a big heart, a contagious laugh and a laidback spirit. Ryan often spent weekends with his family making food, playing card games and listening to the oldies. He had a passion for all genres of music. A "jokster," Ryan loved to laugh, tell stories, quote movies, and his presence was always felt when he was in the room. He was a loving son, brother and uncle and will be dearly and forever missed.
Preceding him in death are his maternal grandparents Catarino and Edwarda "Lala" Rivas; paternal grandmother Teodora "Lola" Madrid ; Uncle Armando Rivas; and Uncle Ruben Madrid.
He is survived by his parents Ralph and Delma Madrid; brother Ralphie and wife Nichole Madrid; sister Monica and husband Victor Cabello; nephews Jude, Mila and Reese Madrid; Madeline and Quentin Cabello, all of Lovington.
