Obituary of Matthew Braden Cline

Funeral services for Matthew B. Cline, 33, of Eunice NM and formerly of Jal, NM will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2019 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church in Eunice with Pastor Matthew Williamson officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery in Hobbs, NM. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Matt was born October 7, 1985 in Albuquerque, NM to Norman and Yolanda {Heatly} Cline and passed away on July 20, 2019. He grew up in Jal and graduated from Jal High School in 2004 where he was involved with football, basketball and was on the golf team. He was always a fun, happy young man that loved to sing. He would sing in the shower, sing to his friends and loved music. Matt loved his cats, "Flower and Pisky" and was a "foody" guy that liked to cook. He enjoyed his friends and family and liked helping others. He was an avid fan of the Denver Broncos. Matthew was member of Eunice Lodge #67 and was raised to Master Mason last year. He was also a Christian on fire for the Lord and loved his church and working with the kids and youth. He would always carry his Bible with him and kept it in his car when traveling. He was faithful at reading his Bible every day and faithful to help take food to those that needed it or helping any way he could. He had been on the "Walk to Emmaus" and enjoyed that walk very much. Matt was employed with RK out of Jal and Midland. He was loved and will be greatly missed by all. Preceding him in death was his father, Norman Cline and an infant niece, Harper Reece Caldwell. Surviving him is his mother, Yolanda Cline of Odessa, TX; his fiancée: Nancy Cantu of Houston, TX; his twin sisters: Jessica and husband Craig Caldwell of Lawton, OK and Amy Cline of Round Rock, TX; his aunt Jan Cline and cousin Dani and husband Joe Capps and family; two nephews: Jake and Case Caldwell and one niece: Rylee Caldwell and many special friends. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church, PO Box 946, in Eunice, NM 88231 or to Eunice Masonic Lodge # 67 , PO Box 1102, Eunice, NM 88231 in memory of Matt.
