Obituary of Ramona Garcia

Funeral services for Ramon Garcia, 93, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, December 9, 2019 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Jesus Martinez officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ramona was born on November 9, 1926 in Tepechitlan, Zacatecas, Mexico to Estaban Gonzalez and Elena Cobarrubias and passed away on November 29, 2019. She has lived in Lovington since 1999. Ramona liked music, crocheting, gardening, exercise and singing to the hummingbirds. She loved all her family and made each one feel like her favorite one. She had certain songs she sang to the kids. Ramona liked going to the casino especially with her husband. She was very attached to her dog, Palomo. She was preceded in death by: her parents Esteban and Elena; her husband Antonio Garcia; two sons: Andres Herrera and Francisco Herrera; two daughters: Maria delo Gonzalez and Jesus Gonzalez; one grandson Javier Alba. She was survived by: three daughters: Camerina Alba of Lovington, Rosina Miramontes and husband Roberto of Baja California, and Esperanza Gonzalez of Lovington; two brothers: Esteban and Santos Rosales of Long Beach CA; two sisters: Martina Gonzalez of Mexico and Francisca Rosales of Long Beach, CA; twenty grandchildren, fifty-three greatgrandchildren, and eight great-great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 8, 2019 from 10:00 am until after Rosary. Rosary will be at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
