Gem, an extraordinary lady I got to know during my employment with the Assessor’s office in Lovington. My deepest memory of her was asking me,” Can I hug you?” It was during a time when I was feeling weighed down by the monotony in my life! She was my motivational messenger with her words, touch and of course HUGS!
