Obituary of Hector Javier Hernandez

Graveside services for Hector Javier "Tito" Hernandez, 63, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, April 11, 2020 at 1:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery with Cornelio Martinez officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Tito was born on November 7, 1956 in Ojinaga, Chihuahua, Mexico to Nazario and Carlota (Brito) Hernandez and passed away on April 8, 2020 in Lovington. Tito lived in Lovington almost all his life. He was a good cook especially when making asado and brisket. He would cook for the oil field companies. Tito was a hard worker and a very caring, Loving and giving man. He would always put everyone else before himself. Tito had a good sense of humor and he will be greatly missed. He was preceded in death by his parents: Nazario Sr. and Carlota Hernandez; four brothers: Ruben, Elias, Pedro, and Urbano Hernandez; and one sister: Sara Olivas. Surviving him is one daughter of the heart that he raised as his own: Luly Marquez of Lovington, NM; three brothers: Moises Hernandez and wife Enedina, Nazario Hernandez Jr., and Adan Hernandez and wife Olga all of Lovington, NM; two sisters: Esther Ramirez of Las Cruces, NM, and Elva and husband Ismael Rodriquez of Odessa, TX. and other extended family. Visitation will be held on Friday, April 10, 2020 from 10:00 am until 5:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Only five at one time may be in funeral home.
