Obituary of Alice Lopez Garcia

Funeral services for Alice Garcia, 67, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Friday, July 3, 2020 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Alice was born of March 9, 1953 in Monahans, TX to Roman and Florencia (Garcia) Lopez and passed away on June 30, 2020 at her residence. Alice was raised in Lovington, NM. She liked to sew, garden, gamble, and go to the casino. She like to go on cruises and enjoyed traveling, especially going to San Padre Island and sitting on the beach. She liked running around with her grandkids. She was preceded in death by her parents: Roman and Florencia Lopez; one son: Johnny Garcia Jr.; three brothers: Joe Lopez, Leroy Lopez, and Frank Lopez. Surviving her is her husband Johnny Garcia Sr. of Hobbs, NM; one son: Charles and wife Janell of Hobbs, NM; two daughters: Annette and husband Noel Perez of Hays, Kansas and Brandi and husband Roy Littleton of Williamsburg, NM; two brothers: Sammy Lopez and wife Norma of Lovington and Larry Lopez of Lovington; four sisters: Lupe and husband Ray Medrano of Lovington, NM, Margie Garcia of Lovington, NM, Sally Guiterrez of Lovington, NM and Irma Lopez of Hobbs, NM; also eight grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 2, 2020 at 10:00 am until Rosary. at 7:00 pm, here at our funeral home chapel. Please be aware of the restrictions because of Covid 19 and only 50 will be allowed at one time in funeral home, so courtesy is essential. At cemetery, it is not restricted.
