Obituary of Davan Perales

Funeral services for Davan Paz Perales Mendoza, 21, of Lovington, NM will be held on Wednesday, July 22, 2020 at 10:00 am at New Beginnings Church with Pastor David Villar officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Hobbs, NM. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Sorrow reached its deepest on July 13, 2020 when Davan's loss came so suddenly. Our little Davanisky entered this earthly world to Alonso Mendoza and Linda Perales on March 24th, 1999 in Hobbs, NM. During his childhood he found contentment in earth's little creatures, greeting new people with a hand shake, and spending time with his brothers and cousins. Through his adolescence he found contentment in "Hike it and Spike It" and Gus Macker tournaments, swimming with his friends, protecting kids who were bullied in school, wrestling with his sister, enjoying his gramma Tomasa's fideo and Abuela Bertha's chorizo and egg burritos. He will be remembered for his sensitivity and compassion when it came to matters of the heart. He could be counted on to stand by your side when others would not. He also gave generously and had an upbeat and vibrant personality and charisma. . "He spoke truth!" Our beloved "Dabz" "Davanator" "Fideo" "davansky" and "Bobo" will be missed by numerous family and friends. He was loved by many! Preceding him in death was his grandmother: Tomasa Perales; two uncles: David Salcido and Orlando Perales; two aunts: Lorena Perales and Elizabeth Garcia and one cousin: Daniel Garcia . Surviving him is his mother: Linda Perales of Lovington NM; his father: Alonso Mendoza of Hobbs, NM; two brothers: Damon Lee Chandler of Denver, CO and Ethan Xipto Morgan of Kansas City, Missouri; his sister: Vesscilia Guiliana Mendoza of Hobbs, NM; his grandparents: Jose and Bertha Mendoza of Hobbs, NM and his grandfather: Joe R. Perales of Lovington, NM; also uncles & aunts:: Javier Mendoza of Lovington and Jesus Mendoza of Mexico; Olivia and husband Gracino Quecada of Hobbs, NM, Andrew and wife Lolly Valencia of Hobbs, James and wife Stephanie Medina of Humble, TX and Joey Perales of Lovington and also numerous cousins. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2020 from 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the funeral home, 1106 N. Main. You may come by and visit with the family at that time and you are requested to wear your mask for service at church and visitation.
