Obituary of Sandra Dee Greer

Graveside services for Sandra Dee "Sandy" Greer, 58, of Quitman, TX will be held on Friday, October 2, 2020 at 11:00 am at Resthaven Cemetery in Lovington, NM with Rev. David Matkins officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Sandy was born on November 1, 1961 in Lovington, NM to Tommie McPherson and Lastell (Sumruld) McPherson and passed away in Quitman, TX on September 26, 2020. She grew up in Lovington and at age ten they moved to Hobbs. She was a cut-up and loved to laugh and make others laugh. She liked fishing and music, especially the Eagles and the BeeGees. She loved kids and had a special connection with her nephews. Talking on the phone was of great joy to Sandy and when you got her on phone, you couldn't get her off. She was involved in a four-wheeler accident several years ago that caused her to be paralyzed but she had a good spirit and still enjoyed talking on phone and making people laugh. She had a certain sign language she could use and was known to have an "outlaw" spirit. She was loved very much and will be missed. Sandy was preceded in death by an infant brother: Tommie McPherson. Surviving her is her father: Tommie and wife Bobbie McPherson of Winnsboro, TX and her mother Lastell McPherson of Hobbs, NM; one brother: Lance McPherson of Wynnewood, OK; two sisters: Christie McPherson White and husband Earl Dye of Lubbock, TX and Kimberly McPherson of Hobbs, NM; two nieces and six nephews; also several great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins. Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 1, 2020 from 3:00-7:00 pm at the funeral home chapel, 1106 North Main, Lovington. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
