Obituary of Georgia Loraine Buckingham

Memorial services for Georgia Loraine Buckingham, 76, of Lovington will be held on Thursday, October 29, 2020 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home Chapel. Georgia was born on November 13, 1943 in Brady, TX to J.C and Doris Inez (Wetzel) Railsback and passed away on October 19, 2020 in Lovington, NM. She started working at the age of thirteen at her dad's restaurant where she would stand on a stool to help. She was always a very hard-working woman with many interests that she involved herself with during her lifetime. She had varied employments and served all of them with total care and gave her best to each occupation. She was a nurse, a police officer, a licensed teacher and was a special investigator for the New Mexico Drug Task Force for many years and also served as an undercover agent for them, working a few national cases. She was preceded in death by her parents: J.C and Doris Railsback and one sister: Billie. Surviving her is her son: Russ Black and wife Pam of Lovington; three grandchildren: John Colton Black of Lovington, Ashley and husband Chris McCart of Lovington, Aleshia Brewer and husband of Fort Hood, TX and five great-grandchildren and many friends.
