Obituary of Lloyd Thornton Peacock

On Saturday, December 12, 2020, Lloyd T. Peacock, husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away at the age of 81. He is survived by his wife of 58 years Mary and his children Eric Peacock, Nancy Boland and Jana Peacock. Lloyd will be missed by his 4 grandchildren, Alisa, Bryce, Riley, Ryan and his precious great-granddaughter Kambrynn. He is also survived by 2 brothers, Glen and Deward Peacock. He is preceded in death by his son Bobby G Peacock, as well as, brothers and sisters Winston, Foney, Kenneth, Madge, Aileene and Dortha. He served in the United States Army and was attached to an Engineer Battalion. He started working for the Gas Company of New Mexico in 1967 and retired with 34 years in 2001. Dad made sure to teach his sons how to hunt, fish and enjoy the outdoors. He continued the love of fishing by spending many hours with his grandson Ryan even sneaking off during school without his mother's knowledge. Visitation for Lloyd will be Friday, December 18th from 3-5 p.m. at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. A Graveside Service in memory of Lloyd will be held on Saturday, December 19th at noon at Lovington Cemetery.
