Obituary of Barbara Juanita Irwin

Barbara Juanita Irwin, "Ma", of Lovington, passed away in her home on August 10, 2021, in her husband's arms. She was born in Carter, OK on April 24, 1934. She married "ole PaBill" on September 26, 1954 and they moved to Lovington in 1959, where they raised three children. She was a lover of all things beautiful and fun! Barbara loved golf, bridge, skip-bo, China painting, creative projects and reading. And oh! how she loved her kids, grandchildren, and her husband of almost sixty-seven years. She sang all the babies to sleep, gave the world's best back scratches, and had a way of finding the light in the darkest of corners. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, two sisters and her youngest son Tony. She is survived by her husband: Bill Irwin; one son: Kelly and daughter Rita; also nine grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren. She was our precious "Ma" and we loved her dearly. All that's left when you're gone are stories, all of Ma's are good ones. The family will gather for a celebration of life at a later date.
