Obituary of Mary Helen Lopez

Mary H. Lopez, 67, of Lovington, NM passed away in Lubbock, Tx on August 19, 2021. She was born November 3, 1953 to Francisco and Anselma Lopez in Lamb County, TX. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. She was married 34 years to John Martinez and raised four children. In 2001 she married Encarnacion Lopez. Mary enjoyed family gatherings, hummingbirds, and her favorite color was pink, most importantly Mary loved the Lord. She worked many years at Pizza Hut and later went on to work a few years for Nor Lea Hospital Dietary. Proceeding her in death were her husbands: John Martinez and Encarnacion Lopez; parents: Francisco & Anselma Aguilar; son: Frank Aguilar and daughter: Irene Aguilar, one half-brother: Francisco Aguilar Jr. Surviving her is her son: Paul and Gloria Martinez, three daughters: Frances and Paul Corrales of Lovington, Anita Munoz of Odessa, TX; Isabel Martinez and Eustacio Silva of Odessa, TX. One sister: Cathy and Ramon Carreon of Lovington; six brothers: Ruben and Liz Aguilar, Candy and Sandy Aguilar all of Lovington, Freddy Aguilar of Hobbs NM, Leonard and Lizett Aguilar of Carlsbad, Alex and Joanna Aguilar of Caddo Mills, TX David and Elida Aguilar of Moreno Valley, California, half brother: Henry Aguilar and half sister: Lucy Aguilar of Lubbock, TX. 10 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great grandson. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 26, 2021 at Kirby Ratliff Funeral Home from 10:00 am until 7:00 p.m. Celebration of life service will be held on Friday, August 27th at 2:00 p.m. at New Hope Ministries in Lovington.
