Obituary of Ramon Michel Carreon

Funeral services for Ramon Michel Carreon, 69, of Lovington will be held on Friday, November 18, 2022 at 10:00 am St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Samuel Ameh officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Ramon was born on August 31, 1953 in Potrero Del Llano Inde, Durango, Mexico to Florentino and Rosa (Michel) Carreon and passed away on November 1, 2022 at his residence. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home. Ramon married Catalina Aguilar on March 31, 1975 in Seminole, Texas. Ramon liked spending time with his animals and spending lots of time with his family. He liked watching Caso Cerrado, loved listening to Corrido music, and scratching his lottery tickets. He was preceded in death by his parent: Florentino and Rosa Carreon. He is survived by his wife Catalina Carreon of Lovington; two sons: Ramon Gil Carreon and wife Laura of Lovington and Emmanuel Carreon and wife Melinda of Lovington; four daughters: Rosie Carreon of Lovington, Cynthia and Hiram Holguin of Albuquerque, Elsie Carreon of Lovington, and Ashley and Larry Hernandez of Albuquerque; five brothers: Pepe Carreon and Mayela of Lovington, Mauricio Carreon and Lisa of Albuquerque, Abel Hinson and Naomi of Albuquerque, Noel Carreon and Yesenia of Las Vega, Nevada, and Hugo and Amber Carreon of Albuquerque; six sisters: Patricia Carreon and Noberto Losoya of Tijeras, Maria Carreon and Chilo Barriga of Lovington, Leticia Carreon of Albuquerque, Concha Carreon and Juan Rodriguez of Albuquerque , Delia Carreon of Albuquerque, and Gaciela Carreon and Jesus Guerro of Albuquerque; twenty grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2022 from 11:00 am until after Rosary. Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm at Kirby-Ratliff Funeral Home.
