Travis VanMeter officiating. Ocie was born on August 30, 1947 In Long Beach, California to Gene and Helen Marie (Shay) Hix and passed away at her residence on Sunday, January 13, 2013. She worked at Main Street Café for several years, where she made a lot of friends. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Kimberly Peirce and one son: Robert Peirce. She is survived by one son: Steven and wife Christina DeSena of Mission Viejo, CA; two brothers: Eddie and wife Pat Hix of Orange, CA, and Larry Hix of Mira Loma, CA; one sister: Susie Hix of Ora Grande, CA; three grandchildren: Cheri Peirce and Spencer and Sydney DeSena.
