Memorial services for Luis Valdez, 52, of Lovington will be held on Saturday, July 29, 2023 at 10:00 am at Church of Living Waters with Pastor Junior Contreras officiating. Luis was born on July 27, 1970 in Hobbs, New Mexico to Simmon Sr. and Gloria (Ortega) Valdez and passed away on July 4, 2023 at his residence. Luis enjoyed cooking especially BBQ. He was a Philadelphia Eagles and a Los Angeles Lakers fan. Luis enjoyed working in the Rigs. He liked traveling.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Simmon Sr. and Gloria Valdez; one brother: Simmon Valdez Jr.; one sister: Josie Valdez.
He is survived by his wife: Thelma Lujan; one sister: Rosa Gallegos; one brother: Cruz Munoz and wife Anita; three nieces, and five nephews.
