Obituary of Geraldine Geneese Chambers

Geraldine Geneese Chambers (Gerry), age 101, beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great great-grandmother, passed away peacefully on October 29th, 2024, at home in Lovington. We know she is at home with the LORD, and we shall join her in time.
Geraldine was born on June 30th, 1923, in Selma, California. She attended school in Hobbs, NM, and graduated. She met Kenneth Edward Chambers, a Lovington Wildcat athlete, and the two were married on December 22nd, 1941.
Gerry raised two daughters - Charline and Bonnie Flo - on a farm West of Lovington. She kept an immaculate house and enjoyed gardening, cooking, and occasional sewing. She also enjoyed cross-word puzzles, reading, and helping with grandchildren who always loved their time with Nana. Later in life, she and Kenneth enjoyed bass fishing and their many dinner parties with friends.
Surviving family members include: one daughter: Charline Elizabeth Dye; one grandson: Kenneth Dale Dye and wife Christina; one granddaughter: Regina Denise Murph; one granddaughter-in-law: Stacey Marie Murph; one grandson-in-law: Ohilip Scott Pflaum; Great grandchildren include: Troy Chase Murph and partner Gates Houghton, Bradley Aaron Beeny and wife Jasmine, Britton Alexander Beeny, Amelia Dawn Taran and husband Luke, Baylee Sue Murph, Hagen Chas Murph, Braden Jay Murph, and Brooke Taylor Becker; Great great-grandchildren include: Tilden Wayne Murph, Wilder Jack Murph, Dechlan Blake Taran, Nevaeh Christine Trevino, Nikolas Bezner, and Autumn Brynn Beeny.
Predeceased family members include: parents: Charles D & Florena E Blakey; in-laws: Colin (Babe) & Bessie Chambers; brother: Richard (Bud) Blakey; husband: Kenneth Edward Chambers; daughter: Bonnie Flo Murph; son-in-law: Billy Dale Dye; son-in-law: Dudley Philip Murph; granddaughter Brenda Gail Pflaum; grandson: Philip Edward Murph; great-grandson: Creston Blair Arnspiger.
All friends and family are invited to attend graveside services at Lovington Cemetery on Thursday, November 7th at 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial contributions be made to either The Ranches - NM Boys and Girls Ranch of Belen, NM, or Shriners Children's Hospital.
