Obituary of Bernice Fitzpatrick

Bernice Fitzpatrick November 26, 1916 - January 10, 2013 Graveside services for Bernice Fitzpatrick, 96, of Grants, NM and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, January 17, 2013 at Lovington Cemetery at 10:00 am with Reverend Dave Whitman officiating. She was born on November 26, 1916 in Camden, New Jersey to William J. and Mamie (Munion) Faber and passed away in Grants, NM on January 10, 2013. She spent the majority of her life in Southern New Jersey and was employed as a policy writer for an insurance company until she retired in 1979. She was a member of the Order of Eastern Star while in New Jersey. She then moved to Lovington to be closer to family. She loved living in her house at Lovington in a warm climate for thirty years and enjoyed attending the Senior Citizen Center. She was a member of First United Methodist Church where she also joined Circle. Her hobbies included knitting, baking the best chocolate cake, collecting recipes, raising geraniums and keeping up on current events to quiz you. In later years she moved to Gallup, to be near her daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Eva Hartman. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Lou and husband William Chris Caldes; two grandchildren: Wendy Caldes and William Keith Caldes; two nieces and seven great grandchildren.
