Obituary of Lucille W. Flemmons

Lucille W. Flemmons April 21, 1925 - January 05, 2011 Graveside funeral Services for Lucille W. Flemmons, 85, of Lovington, will be held on Friday, January 7, 2010 at 10:00 am at Lovington Cemetery with Steve Flemmons and Jimmy Bays officiating. Services are being conducted by Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Flemmons was born in Wyoming on April 21, 1925 to Harry and Kathryn Getz and passed away on Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at Lovington Good Samaritan Center. She married James Milton Flemmons on February 16, 1946 in Los Angeles, CA and they moved to Lovington in 1953. Lucille raised her sons in Lovington and was a 4-H leader for approximately 12 to 14 years. She was a member of Good News Assembly of God Church in Lovington and was a caregiver for her husband when he became unable to be active. She had been a resident at Good Samaritan for the last year. Lucille was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers and one sister. She is survived by two sons: Rodney and wife Sharon Flemmons of Lovington and Steve and wife Rosa Flemmons of Lovington, NM, five grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.
