Obituary of Donna Frazier

Donna Frazier July 14, 1936 - April 17, 2016 Funeral services for Donna Frazier, 79, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, April 21, 2016 at 10:00 am at Tatum First Baptist Church with Bro. Wayne Brazil officiating. Burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ms. Frazier was born on July 14, 1936 in Sayre, Oklahoma to G.D. and Buena (Lee) Riggan and passed away on April 17, 2016 at Yoakum County Hospital in Denver City, TX. Donna grew up in Clovis and graduated school there. She lived with an Aunt and her Dad after her mom died when she was young. She married Marvin Frazier in Clovis on November 16, 1957 and was a wonderful wife to him. She met him when she was attending beauty school with her friend who introduced her to her brother, which happened to be Marvin. Donna enjoyed the Home Extension Club when they lived in Bronco, TX and playing cards with her friends, Escola and Carriebelle. She liked to visit and would talk daily on the phone with her best friend, Vera Henderson. They would visit and drink many cups of coffee together and loved one another like sisters. She was a terrific cook and was the dietician/head cook at Tatum School cafeteria for many years. She grew beautiful roses in her rose garden and enjoyed gardening. Her children and grandchildren were her joy in life. Donna was a wonderful mother and a generous, giving lady that took care of everyone else before herself. She never spoke an unkind word of anyone and believed that each person had some good in them. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband and her daughter-in-law, Malena Frazier. She is survived by two sons: Shelly Marvin Frazier of Logan, NM and Steve and wife Melissa Frazier of Lovington; one daughter: Sharla and husband Ricky Kennedy of Tatum, NM and six Grandchildren: Rebecca Frazier of Lubbock, TX; Louise Frazier and Joseph Frazier both of Albuquerque, NM; Cozette Brown of Lovington and Ashley Mullinax, of Tatum, and Laci Kennedy of Mertzon, TX and one great-grandchild: Cooper Mullinax. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 20, 2016 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at the funeral home with family in residence from 6:00 -7:00 pm at funeral home.
