Obituary of Daniel Garcia

Daniel Garcia May 28, 1944 - October 20, 2013 Memorial services for Daniel Garcia, 69, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at Church of God in Christ at 10:00 am with Ernest Hodge officiating. Burial will follow at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Daniel was born in Col. Anahauac, Chihuahua, Mexico on May 28, 1944 to Sylvester and Blasa (Marin) Garcia and passed away in Hobbs on October 20, 2013. He married Manuela Hernandez in El Paso, TX in April of 1979. He enjoyed gardening, cooking, especially bar-b-que, oldies music and playing pool. He loved telling jokes and being with his grandchildren and his family. He was preceded in death by his parents; one son: Joseph Garcia and one brother: Eulalio Garcia and one sister: Olga Garcia. He is survived by his wife, Manuela of the home, five sons: Cesar Garcia of Las Vegas, NV; Alejandro Garcia of San Angelo, TX; Abel Garcia, Danny Garcia and David Garcia all of Hobbs, NM; two brothers: Anselmo Garcia of Mexico and Reynaldo and wife Silvia Garcia of Orange, CA; four sisters: Manuela Chavez, Herlinda Garcia and Irma Chavez all of Mexico and Nohemi Perez of Chicago, IL and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 27th from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the Church of God in Christ in Hobbs. Donations may be made by calling Alex Garcia at 325-262-3756
