Jerry Dale Griffin August 04, 1940 - March 19, 2007 Graveside services at Lovington Cemetery for Jerry Dale Griffin, 66, of Lubbock, Texas, are scheduled at 2 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2007. Walter Beverly and James Kirby will officiate. Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home is directing arrangements. In the event of rain, services will be held in the funeral home chapel. Friends may sign the visitation book at the funeral home during regular hours. Born August 4, 1940, at Dallas, Texas, she passed away March 19, 2007, at Lubbock. She had moved to Lovington in 1964. She was employed by Tatum Police Department and later was a dispatcher for Lea County for 20 years. She then was employed as jail administrator at the new jail on Central Street until 1991. She was a member of the Square Dance Club and enjoyed crafts and making jewelry. Survivors include two sons, Roy and his wife, Sharon Bradford of Weatherford, Oklahoma, and Roger Griffin of Lubbock, Texas; two daughters, Rena Stone of Farmington and Robbie Bradford of Dallas, Texas; a sister, Wama Dobbs of Longview, Texas; three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lyman and Emma Pearl Cody; a sister and three brothers.
