Obituary of Eddie Lee Byrd

Eddie Lee Byrd July 13, 1950 - July 14, 2013 Funeral services for Eddie Lee Byrd, 63, of Lovington, NM will be held on Thursday, July 18, 2013 at 2:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel with Ministers Jason Byrd and Brad Reimers officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith Rogers Funeral Home. Eddie was born on July 13, 1950 in Lovington, NM, to John Damon and Atthe (Adams) Byrd and passed away on July 14, 2013 at Covenant Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Eddie was a member of Crosswinds Community Church in Hobbs, NM and was a retired registered nurse. He was Director of Nursing at Nor-Lea Hospital, La Siesta Nursing Home, and Ruidoso Nursing Home. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by two brothers Don and wife Neva Byrd , Charles and wife Chloe Ann Byrd all of Hobbs, NM; three nephews: Brian and wife Lashawn Byrd ,Jason and wife Jessica Byrd , and Jerry and wife Dawn Byrd; two nieces: Dottie Byrd and Marie Melder; five great nephews: Gunnar, Major, Samuel, Kelly, and J.C Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 17, 2013 from 8:30 am until 8:00 pm with the family here from 6:00 pm until 7:00 pm.
