Obituary of Jameson FIXME

"Kent" Jameson August 24, 1961 - February 14, 2017 Funeral services for Thomas “Kent” Jameson, 55, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, February 18, 2017 at 2:30 pm at First Methodist Church with Pastors Harry Pittam and David Villar officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Kent was born in Clovis, NM on August 24, 1961 to Bob and Bobbie (May) Jameson and passed away at his home on February 14, 2017. He came to Lovington when he was in the 4th grade and graduated in 1979 from LHS. When in school he was “ Mr. LHS” and played football, ran track was involved in the “Up, Up and Away” choir. He married Lesly Caudill in Lovington on November 1, 1980 and they have shared 36 years of love and life and family together. Kent enjoyed playing golf, fishing and hunting but his greatest joy was his family and his friends. He was a selfless person that believed in giving back to the community and helping others in their times of need. He was owner with his brothers of their family’s grocery business and they shared not only a working relationship but a close loving relationship as a family should. He loved having time with his family but especially his grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father, Bob Jameson. Surviving him is his wife, Lesly of the home, his mother: Bobbie of Lovington; two sons: Bradley and wife Rana Jameson and Jacob Jameson all of Lovington; one daughter: Jesika and husband Chase Vuicich of Lovington and two brothers: Gary and wife Glenna Jameson and Mike Jameson all of Lovington; four grandchildren: Jase and Jathan Vuicich, Jax and Jett Jameson; Nieces and nephews: Kellen Fort, Kenda Fort, Caden Jameson, Kelsi Hernandez, Micah Swenson, Lindsey Jameson, Callie Garcia and Cassie Sanchez and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, February 17th from noon until 8:00 pm with the family in residence from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Lovington Cancer Center at Nor-Lea Hospital, 1600 North Main, Lovington, NM and specify Cancer Center.
