Obituary of Esten Alexander

Esten Alexander September 29, 1930 - September 22, 2015 Funeral services for Esten Alexander, 84, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, September 28, 2015 at 10:00 am at First United Methodist Church with Reverend Matt Bridges, officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Alexander was born in Tahoka, TX on September 29, 1930 to Ernest Edward and Bennie Myrle (Carlos) Alexander and passed away in Lubbock, TX on September 22, 2015. He served his Country in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict from 1951-1955. Esten was a Lea County Board member for thirty plus years and a member of First United Methodist Church, serving on several boards. He partnered with his two brothers on the Alexander Brothers Dairy for fifty four years, retiring in 2008. He was a family man and kept a very close relationship with all of his family, enjoying time with all of the grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His family was the love of his life. He was preceded in death by his parents, one son: Ronald Lynn Alexander and one daughter: Lori Gail Little; two grandsons: Chad and Roland Alexander and one Great- grandson: Tucker Sands; three brothers and three sisters. He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Vada, of the home; one son: Marlon and wife Elizabeth of Lovington; eight grandchildren: Stacy and husband Gilbert Sandoval; Ronny Alexander and wife Heather, Justin Alexander and wife Jeannie; Patrick Alexander and wife Casey; Michelle and husband Matt Armbruster; Brandi and husband Seth Sands; Sam Alexander; and Megan Little; also eighteen great-grandchildren and one daughter-in-law Becky Alexander and many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. Visitation will be held on Sunday, September 27, 2015 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home
