Obituary of Maudean Keeler

Maudean Keeler February 22, 1933 - February 13, 2017 Funeral services for Maudean Keeler, 83, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at 2:30 pm at 3rd & Central Church of Christ with David Stewart officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Keeler was born on February 22, 1933 in Haskell, TX to Coleman and Dora (Grant) Pinkerton and passed away at Lovington Good Samaritan on February 13, 2017. She grew up in Haskell and graduated from high school in Big Spring, TX. Maudean enjoyed crocheting, liked sewing matching outfits for the children, studying her Bible and spending time with friends. She was a volunteer at Nor-Lea Hospital as a pink lady for over twenty five years. She loved being a “Nana” to her grandchildren and was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother to her family. Mrs. Keeler had been a resident of Good Samaritan Center for several years. She was preceded in death by her parents; one daughter: Bobbie Carlotta Bostick ; one brother: Jr. Pinkerton and two sisters: Mary and Myrtle Young and one grandson: Major Thomas G. Bostick Jr. Surviving her is her husband of 66 years, Bob Keeler of the home; two sons: Charles Ray and wife Elvia Keeler and Chris Keeler, both of Lovington; two daughters: Brenda and husband Jim Richardson of Llano, TX and Terri Ann Keeler of Lovington; one sister: Floy Mae Brown of Houston, TX and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 10:00 am until 7:00 pm with the family in residence from 6:00 – 7:00 pm at the funeral home.
