Obituary of Flora Marie Lankford

Flora Marie Lankford December 22, 1928 - November 13, 2013 Visitation for Flora Marie Lankford, 84, of Hobbs, NM will be held on Friday, November 15, 2013 from 9:00 am until 5:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home in Lovington. Cremation will take place and a memorial service will be held at a later date. Flora was born in Grayville, Illinois on December 22, 1928 to Bill and Ursula (Hallam) Jones and passed away on November 13, 2013 at her residence in Hobbs. Flora was married to Charles Delmar Lankford and she moved to Hobbs in 1951 and worked as a waitress. She had previously worked for a sewing factory as a seamstress before moving to Hobbs. She enjoyed camping and fishing. Flora was preceded in death by her parents and her husband; one infant daughter; one son-in-law, John Chism, one grandson, Samuel Lee and several brothers and sisters. She is survived by two sons: Dennis Lankford of Hobbs, NM and Charles Curtis and wife Betty Lankford of Advance, North Carolina and three daughters: Marlena Kay Chism of Hobbs, Teresa Lynn Little of Hobbs, Linda Beth and husband Larry Lee of Rockport, TX; nine grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
