Obituary of Kenneth Gene Lee

Kenneth Gene Lee June 04, 1933 - April 14, 2015 Graveside services for Kenneth Lee, 81, of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, April 20, 2015 at Lovington Cemetery at 2:00 pm. Visitation will be on Sunday, April 19, 2015 from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm at the funeral home. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Lee was born on June 4, 1933 in Calvin, Oklahoma to Ernest R. and Rebecca M. (Reid) Lee and passed away on April 14, 2015 in Lovington, NM. Mr. Lee enjoyed working and was employed in the oilfield for many years as a tool pusher. He worked for and retired from Hondo Oil Company. He was a WWII Army veteran and was proud to have served his country. He like fishing and would take his family on fishing trips in Colorado to Williams Creek. Taking care of his family was his priority and he always wanted to make sure they had everything they needed. He was married to Eva Jo Satterwhite for many years and they raised five children. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; one son: Michael Lee; one sister: Frances Caruth and seven brothers: Lavelle, Vernon, Merril, Gerald, Wayne, James and Ernest Jr. He is survived by his children, Kenny Lee of Lovington, NM and Larry Lee of Texas; Becky and husband Jerry Clothier of Lovington, and Barbara and husband James Dodd of Missouri; one brother: Charles and wife Janelle Lee of Aurora, Colorado and three Grandchildren: Cecil Marvin Castle of Edinburg, TX and Rachel and Kyla Lee and three great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
