Obituary of Lorene Baker

Lorene Baker September 29, 1919 - April 27, 2015 Lorene Baker, 95, of Ft. Worth, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM passed away on April 27, 2015 in Ft. Worth, TX. She was born on September 29, 1919 in Colgate, Oklahoma to Lenard Brantley Hough Sr and Elsie Densmore George Hough. She had lived many years in Lovington before moving to Ft. Worth to be with her children. Memorial Graveside services will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 1:00 pm at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Baker was a people magnet to the young and old alike and was a witness for the Lord right up to the time her health deteriorated. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband J. C. Baker and one son: Sam Baker; two sisters: Jean Stevens and Lucille Rittimann and three brothers: L. B. Hough Jr, David “Pete” Hough and James Hough. Mrs. Baker is survived by two daughters: Barbara and husband Arthur Littlejohn of Fort Worth, TX and Kay Mosty of Rowlett, TX; four sisters: Pauline Hubbard of Waco, TX; Christine and husband Jim Miller of Artesia, NM ; Hattie Samuelson of Texas city, TX and Lou Koch of Kerrville, TX; eight grandchildren: Dianna and husband David Sorrells, Michael and wife Stacy Littlejohn, all of Fort Worth, TX; Randy and wife Mosty of Rowlett, TX; Jeff and wife Jessica Baker, Samantha Romig, Brian and wife Desi Baker, all of Soldotna, Alaska and fifteen great-grandchildren and eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
