Obituary of Wayne Lee Mann

Wayne Lee Mann July 24, 1944 - May 31, 2017 Memorial services for Wayne Lee Mann, 72, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2017 at 1:00 pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Harry Pittam officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Mann was born in Sherwood, Texas on July 24, 1944 to Willie and Pauline (Vernon) Mann and passed away on May 31, 2017 in Lubbock, TX at University Medical Center. He grew up in Sherwood and attended school in Mertzon, TX. He and Danna Davis were married in San Angelo, TX June 3, 1966, right after her graduation and they have shared 51 years of life, love, children and marriage. Wayne was soon drafted into the Army and served during the Vietnam War. They came to Lovington in 1969 and he did contract work in the oilfield for Phillips Petroleum at Buckeye. He has been a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church since 1971. He loved Nascar, but most important in his life, was his family, his wife, children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceding him in death were his parents; one brother: E. L. Keegan; two sisters: Jerrine Mickler and Mamie Williams and one great-grandson: Jayden Willburn. Surviving him is his wife, Danna of the home; two sons: Michael Mann and Mark and wife Christy Mann of Lovington; one sister: Loneta Mason of Abilene, TX; six children: Charlee Beam and significant other, John Wilson of Irving, TX, Britta Mann of Euless, TX; Christopher and wife Jordan Mann of Lovington; Nikolas Mann of Hobbs, NM; Jack and wife Kristen Willburn of Lovington and Jammie Andrieux of Lovington; eleven great-grandchildren: Nastassia Vera , Airen Vera, Brennan Mann, Taylor and Skylar Mann, Kiyawna Willburn, Ivory Willburn, Kaiyess Willburn, Sherria Willburn, Dayjen Ruiz and Dane Moman.
