Obituary of Geneva Casarez

Watch the Tribute Geneva Casarez November 14, 1934 - December 19, 2013 Funeral services for Geneva Peppin Casarez, 79 of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 am at the Church of Living waters with Rev. Danny Wright officiating. Burial will follow at the Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Geneva was born in Artesia, New Mexico on November 14, 1934 to Pablo and Sustena(Benavidez) Peppin and passed away in Alamagordo, New Mexico. Geneva was a wonderful mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She was the spark of laughter that kept her family together. She was strong and gave us her strength for twelve of us. We could not have became who we are today if it wasn’t for her. She was Preceded in death by her parents husband Gabriel Casarez Sr.:Pablo and her parents Pablo and Sostena (Benavidez) Peppin; one daughter: Alice Melendez; one son: RobertCasarez; two brothers: Lonnie and Paul Peppin; four sister :Lucia, Carmen, Ermeinda, and Mary. She is survived by four sons: Gabriel, Mauro, Juanito and Lewis Casarez; seven daughters: Janie Chavirra, Mary Sanchez, Earnie Vasquez, Billie Jo Rodriguez, Rosita Silvas, Lucy Losoya, and Susy Casarez; one brother: John Peppin; and one sister Ermelia. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, from 3:00 pm until 8:00 pm at the Church of Living Waters.
