Obituary of Germana Morales

Germana Morales June 10, 1944 - November 29, 2014 Funeral services for Germana Morales, 70, of Lovington, New Mexico will be held on Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Ms. Morales was born on June 10, 1944 in Pueblo de Allende, Chihuahua, Mexico to Salvador and Gregoria Morales and passed away on November 29, 2014 in Lubbock, Texas. In 1958 she moved to Lovington and raised her family here. She attended St. Thomas Catholic Church and was quite religious. She enjoyed gardening, her roses, traveling and spending time with her grandchildren. She was a very social and outgoing lady who never met a stranger. She was quite a good cook but in later years loved going out to eat with her friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters: Guillermina Santoyo and Alexandrina Santoyo and one brother: Porifio Morales. She is survived by six sons: Guerrero Morales of Lovington; Gilberto and wife Catalina Morales of Lovington; Oscar and wife Lourdes Morales of Hobbs, NM; Jesus and wife Irma Morales of Lovington; Ignacio and wife Diana Morales of Odessa, TX and Salvador Morales of Hobbs, NM and one daughter: Martha Olivia Morales of Lovington; one sister: Gloria Vandelo of Iowa and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 2, 2014 from 9:00 am until rosary time. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church.
