Memorial services for Shirley Lou Murrish, 87, of Tatum, NM will be held on Thursday, October 26, 2017 at 10:00 am at Abundant Blessing Church in Tatum. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Shirley was born in Nebraska and moved to Beaver, OK and then to Eunice, NM before settling in Tatum in the “60’s”. She passed away at Nor-Lea Hospital on October 23, 2017. Shirley enjoyed playing cards with her friends and sewing and most especially she loved being a homemaker. Her greatest joy was her grandbabies.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Gilbert Murrish Sr.;
son: Gilbert Murrish Jr. and one brother: Wilford Pool.
She is survived by one son: Michael and wife Belinda Murrish of Hobbs, NM; two daughters: Jane and husband Emmett Bennett of Beaver, OK and Diana Page of Wink, TX; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
