Maria "Lucy" Lucia Nava May 22, 1964 - May 16, 2015 Memorial services for Maria “Lucy” Lucia Nava, 50, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, May 29, 2015 at 1:00 pm at New Beginning Church with Bro. David Villar officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Lucy was born on May 22, 1964 in Glendale, Arizona to Nemecio and Maria (Ruiz) DeAvial and passed away on May 16, 2015 at University Medical Center in Lubbock, Texas. Lucy married her husband on March 5, 1982 in Lovington, New Mexico. She enjoyed going to work with her husband. She liked to cook and feed everybody, even strangers. She enjoyed being around her family and grandchildren. Lucy liked to dance and was always helping other people. She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister: Maria Socorro DeAvila and three grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Benjamin Nava of Lovington, NM; one son: Ricardo Julian Nava of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Sandra Moreno of Chihuahua, Mexico and Cynthia Perez and husband Vicente of Lovington, NM; one brother: Edgar Ruiz of El Paso Texas; two sisters: Matilda DeAvila of El Paso, TX and Margie and Nestor Estrada of San Antonio, TX; nineteen grand-children and three great grand-children.
