Obituary of Doyle Lee Neagle

Doyle Lee Neagle October 12, 1938 - April 24, 2016 Doyle Neagle, 77, went to be with the Lord April 24, 2016 at Nor Lea General Hospital. Memorial services will be held Wednesday, April 27, 2016 at 3:00 pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Harry Pittam officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Doyle was born October 12, 1938 in Ralls, Texas to Robert and Doris (McHam) Neagle. He married his high school sweetheart Gayla Cowan on July 31, 1959 in Lovington, NM. They were happily married for 56 years and had two children Robin and Ricky. Doyle graduated from Lovington High School with the class of 1957. While in High School he played the drums in a small band called the Jets and after high school he worked for Southern Union Gas Company, then worked at Kerr-McGee potash mine in Carlsbad. Later Doyle was self-employed as a building contractor. He loved working with wood crafts and doing craft shows. He loved his church, community, and the Lovington people and surrounding areas. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert and Doris Neagle and one brother-in-law Bill McCarrell. He is survived by his wife Gayla of the family home; one daughter Robyn Bunch and husband Kip of Midland, TX; one son Ricky Neagle of Hobbs, NM; one sister: Sandra McCarrell of Artesia, NM; niece Shonda Poe of Artesia, NM; one nephew: Cory McCarrill and wife Martha of Hobbs, NM; one sister-in-law Joy Kosinski of Alamogordo, NM; three grandchildren: Justin and wife Rachel, Toby and wife Lapita, and Aaron; eight grandchildren all of Midland, TX, and a host of many loving friends.
