Anita R. Castillo July 27, 1937 - December 13, 2017 Graveside services for Anita R. Castillo, 80, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 at 11:00 am at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Anita was born on July 25, 1937 in Presidio, TX. to Pablo and Juanna (Rivera) Rodriguez and passed away on December 13, 2017 in Lovington, NM. She grew up in Marfa, TX; was quite the tomboy as she had numerous brothers to teach her how to climb trees. She enjoyed Christian music, reading and loved dancing and playing music. She liked to joke and had a good sense of humor. She loved to dress up and loved jewelry. Anita was especially a devoted and loving mother to her children and family. She was preceded in death by her parents; one son: Mack Cisneros; six brothers: Jose, Fidel, Albino, Raymond, Manuel and Norbeto; one sister: Julie Rodriguez; one grandson: David Nava. Surviving her is her husband Manuel Castillo of Hobbs, NM.; six sons: Henry and wife Connie Vela of Odessa, TX., Ruben Vella of Hobbs, NM, Ray Vela of Lovington, NM., Eloy Vela of Hobbs, NM., Tony Vela of Lovington, NM, and Johnny Castillo of Hobbs, NM; two daughters: Mary and husband Victor Rivera of Lovington, NM, and Tina and husband Jerry Burkett of Hobbs, NM; two brothers: Robert and wife Josie Rodriguez of Hobbs, NM, and Baseliso Rodriguez of Artesia, NM,; one sister: Dolores and husband Hiram Garcia of Lovington, NM; eighteen grandchildren , fifty-one great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild. Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 16, 2017 from 10:00 am until 11:00 am then to Lovington Cemetery for burial.
