Obituary of Tomasa Olivas

Watch the Tribute Tomasa Olivas May 08, 1910 - December 21, 2013 Thomasa S. Olivas, 103, of Lovington, passed away December 21, 2013 at her residence. She was born on May 8, 1910 in Redford, Texas to Jose and Antonia (Sanchez) Salazar. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith Rogers Funeral Home. Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 26, 2013 from 9:00 am until 8:00 pm at Cristo Viene Church. Services will be held on Friday, December 27th at 2:00 pm at the Church of Cristo Viene. Ms. Olivas loved her grandchildren and especially her great-grandchild and caring for her dogs. She saw a lot of changes in her lifetime having lived such a long life. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Juan Olivas and one daughter: Elfida Olivas Madrid. She is survived by three sons: Timotio Olivas of Odessa, TX; PanFilo Olivas of Tibollie, TX and Bruno Olivas of Lovington; 2 daughters: Margarita Lasoya of Ojinaga, Mexico, and Edwarda Porras of Lovington; and Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
