Charlotte Yvonne Adamek April 09, 1939 - October 10, 2015 Memorial services for Charlotte Yvonne Adamek, 76, of Lovington, NM will be held on Saturday, October 17, 2015 at 2:00 pm at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Harry Pittam officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Charlotte was born on April 9, 1939 in Matador, TX to Von Vernon and Isabell Mary (Hensley) Muse and passed away on October 10, 2015 in Hobbs, NM. She was raised in Slaton, TX and was a Slaton High School graduate. She married Henry Michael Adamek in Slaton and they were married for twenty four years. Charlotte was a very multi-talented lady who enjoyed all types of needlework, from macrame to needlepoint, crocheting and knitting. Her passion was piecing and quilting and making banners for the church. She came to Lovington in the 70’s and was employed by both Dr. Smiths and also worked for Dr. Hopkins and Dr. Graham in their offices. She was an ER receptionist; a teachers aide and then for many years was office secretary at Lea Elementary School. Charlotte was a long time member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and was a very vibrant, fun-loving, caring and giving member of the Lovington community. She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving her are her two daughters: Michelle and husband Brad Schoolcraft of Lovington, NM and Monica and husband Wade Demere of Water Valley, TX ; one son: Philip and wife Karen Adamek of Spring, TX ; one brother: Waymon “Wayne” and wife Char Muse of Benton, Illinois and her former husband, Henry Michael Adamek of Bay Center, Washington. Also surviving her are eight grandchildren: Keegan and husband Luis Elmore of Lovington, Blake & wife Tori Schoolcraft of Lubbock, TX, Kalleigh and husband Jake Garrett of Stephenville, TX; Brock Demere of Water Valley, TX; Seth Demere of Water Valley, TX; Kanon Adamek and fiancée Callie Klindt of Spring, TX; Kassidy Adamek of Spring, and Kooper Adamek of Spring, TX; two great-grandchildren: Kennedy Paige Elmore and Peyton Avery Elmore and many friends.
