Obituary of Clara Bartlett

Clara Bartlett July 12, 1929 - July 19, 2014 Clara Louise Bartlett, of Herford, Texas, departed this life to be with her Lord on July 16, 2014, at the age of 84 years young. She was born on July 22, 1929 in Eldorado, Arkansas to G. C. and Alice Bessie (Taylor) Brazzeal. The days of her earthly journey: Clara lived to serve. At a young age she and her cousins attended a revival and she said she knew then that she would have a special purpose for the Lord Jesus Christ. She had a passion to share education and values. She loved to teach children, educating young minds in church, classroom, and home alike. Clara was a very gifted artist. She used her talents to teach and nurture a love of art and creativity in the lives of all the children she met. She graduated High School in Wink, Texas, and later attended Hardin Simmons University with the love of her life and her partner of 65 years, H. W. Bartlett. She completed her degree at Texas A & M, Corpus Christi, later. Clara is survived by her beloved daughter, Nancy Jeanne Bartlett of Hobbs, NM, eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was received in Heaven by the love of her life, H. W. Bartlett, her mother, her father, her sister and son-in-law. Services will be announced at a later date.
