Obituary of Gonzalez Paula

Gonzalez Paula January 15, 1933 - December 08, 2012 Funeral services for Paula Gonzalez, 79, of Lovington, will be held on Friday, December 14, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Manuel Ibarra officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Gonzalez was born on January 15, 1933 in Ojinaga, Mexico to Salome and Vicenta (Gallegos) Garcia and passed away on December 8, 2012 in Lovington. She married Juan Gonzalez on April 9, 1959 in Ojinaga. She was a wonderful homemaker, a devoted wife, Mother and Grandmother and she adored her grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, one son: Juan R. Gonzalez; one daughter: Emma Gonzalez and three sisters: Manuela, Helena and Petra Garcia. She is survived by her husband, Juan, of the home; two sons: Juan D. and wife Maria Gonzalez and Ruben and wife Mari Gonzalez all of Lovington; Four daughters: Rosalina Trevizo of Carlsbad, NM; Hilda and husband Daniel Marquez of Lovington; Mari and husband Deron Proctor of Midland, TX and Irene and husband Marcos Hernandez of Lovington. Also two brothers: Jesus and wife Maria Garcia of Pflugerville, TX and Jose and wife Roseanna Garcia of Carlsbad, NM and a Nephew: Oscar and wife Anabelle Garcia, also of Carlsbad. Also surviving her are eleven grandchildren: Ramiro and Venessa Trevizo, Israel and Isaac Gonzalez, Bridgette Gonzalez, Daniel Jr and Mendi Marquez, Martin, Ashley, Marcos and America Hernandez; and one great grandson: Julian Trevizo and numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation will be on Wednesday, Dec. 12th from 8:30 am until 5:00 pm and Thursday from 8:30 am until Rosary time at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel.
