Obituary of Jerry Pearl Caudill

Jerry Pearl Caudill November 29, 1941 - February 27, 2016 Memorial services for Jerry Pearl Caudill, 74, of San Angelo, TX and formerly of Lovington, NM will be held on Monday, March 7, 2016 at 10:00 am at First Christian Church in Lovington, NM with Michael Raburn officiating. Jerry was born on November 29, 1941 in Lovington, NM to Elvis Pearl and Myrtie Joe (LaVoie) Caudill Clements and passed away on February 27, 2016 surrounded by his family. He was a longtime resident of Lovington and lived many wonderful years as a caring husband and father. He was an avid rancher and spent many years breeding quarter horses for show. He never ceased to amaze his family and friends citing the genealogy pedigree of his stallions and breeding mares, going back to the Wagner Ranch. He loved horses so much and wanted to share this love with others and for several years, he gave a horse to kids to show as members of the Lea County 4H. He married Norma Mae Cherry in Lovington. . He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother: Michael Duane Caudill and one sister: Terry Ann Carter. He leaves the love of his life of many years, Norma Mae Caudill; caring father of six children: Beverly Lynn and husband Russell Guthrie, Betty Jo and husband Kenneth Click; Michelle Nanette and husband Danny Benson, Wayne and wife Missy Tramell; Belinda Leann and husband Tom DeLaughter and Leslie Ann Lozano; one sister: Frieda Ann and husband Jimmy Owens; one brother: Joseph Dale and wife Rita Caudill; attentive grandfather of sixteen grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and numerous nephews, nieces, cousins and a host of friends. The family sends a special thank you to the staff at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, TX.
