Obituary of Raymundo G. Benavidez

Raymundo G. Benavidez September 03, 1964 - June 23, 2015 Funeral Services for Raymundo G. Benavidez, 50, of Hobbs, NM, will be held on Tuesday, June 30, 2015 at 10:00 am in the Chapel at Prairie Haven Memorial Park Cemetery with David Villar, Pastor of New Beginnings Church in Lovington officiating. Burial will follow at the cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mr. Benavidez was born on September 3, 1964 in Cuidad de Juarez, Mexico to Raymundo and Martha (Garcia) Benavidez Sr. and passed away at UMC Hospital in Lubbock on June 23, 2015. He was employed by Cavaloz Oil Service of Hobbs, NM. Raymundo enjoyed deer hunting and fishing and get- togethers with his family and friends and sharing a bar-b-que with them. He was an avid Cowboy fan but his greatest joy was his family, especially his kids and grandkids. He is survived by his wife, Norma (Carrillo) Benavidez of the home; his parents; two sons: Raymundo Benavidez Jr. and Armando and wife Priscilla Benavidez all of Hobbs; one daughter: Kimberly Benavidez of Lovington, NM; three brothers: Omar and wife Susana Benavidez of Cuidad de Juarez, Mexico; Johnny and wife Vicky Bentacur of Hobbs, NM and Horacio Benavidez of El Paso, TX; two sisters: Gabriella Vital of Farmington, NM and Lilliana and husband Cesar Cuellar of Cuidad de Juarez, Mexico and nine grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 29, 2015 from noon until 8:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home.
