Obituary of Socorro R. Salgado

Socorro R. Salgado November 01, 1934 - May 20, 2015 Funeral services for Socorro R. Salgado, 80, of Tatum, NM, will be held on Saturday, May 23, 2015 at 3:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating burial will follow at Tatum Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral. Socorro was born on November 1, 1934 in Coyame, Chihuahua, Mexico to Perfecto and Manuela (Ramirez) Salgado and passed away on May 20, 2015 at his residence. Socorro was a hard worker. He loved to watch boxing, and working and repairing things. He was preceded in death by his parents: Perfecto and Manuela Salgado, and one brother Beto Salgado all of Coyame. He is survived by three sons: Oscar and Brittany Salgado of Havre, Montana, Lupe and Ana Salgado of Tatum, NM and Fred Salgado of Rock Springs, Wyoming; two daughters Claudia Piedra of Portales, NM and Elisabet and Greg Salgado Gros of Portales, NM; two brothers: Silvestre and Consuelo Salgado of Coyame, Chihuahua, and Luis and Consuelo Salgado of Lovington, NM; one sister: Martha and Guillermo Marquez of Coyame, Chihuahua; one sister-in-law Genoveva Salgado of Coyame, Chihuahua and twenty grand-children and five great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Friday, May 22, 2015 from 10:00 am until Rosary time. Rosary will be held at 7:00 pm at Kirby-Smith-Rogers Chapel. Condolences may be sent to www.kirbysmithrogers.com.
