Robert "Babo" Refugio Sanchez September 22, 1979 - September 13, 2015 Funeral services for Robert “Babo” Refugio Sanchez, 35, of Lovington, NM will be held on Friday, September 18, 2015 at 3:00 pm at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Father Redentor Molina officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Babo was born on September 22, 1979 in Hobbs, NM to Santos Sr. and Nora (Salazar) Sanchez and passed away on September 13, 2015. Babo grew up in Lovington and attended school in Lovington. He liked to play the drums with his nephew and he liked animals, horses, and music. He enjoyed spending time with his brothers and loved his daughters. Babo worked for J&S and liked spending time at their yard. He was preceded in death by his father Santos Sanchez Sr.; paternal grand- parents: Refugio and Petra Sanchez; maternal grandfather: Manuel Salazar; paternal uncle: Andy Sanchez Sr.; paternal aunts: Rosa Sanchez Macias and Carolina Sanchez Herrera. He is survived by his mother Nora Sanchez of Lovington NM, his wife: Gracie Balboa Sanchez of Lovington, NM; two daughters: Linda Eileen and Analicia Sanchez of Lovington, NM; five brothers: Santos Jr and wife Sonia Sanchez of Lovington, NM, Richard and wife Amy Sanchez of Lovington, NM, Donny and wife Tisha of Lovington, NM, Danny and wife Ashley of Lovington, NM, and Nicholas and wife Ruby of Lovington, NM and several nieces and nephews. Serving as pallbearers: Santos Sanchez lll, Sebastian Sanchez, Sergio Sanchez, Richard Sanchez Jr., Broderick Sanchez, and Adam Gutierrez.
