Obituary of Lyle Leo Stickney

Lyle Leo Stickney March 26, 1955 - December 18, 2013 Lyle Leo Stickney, 58, of Lovington, NM passed away at Nor-Lea Hospital on Wednesday, December 18, 2013 after an extended illness. He was born on March 26, 1955 in Merrill, Wisconsin to Leo Lyle Stickney and Juanita (Stickney) Cunningham. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Lyle moved to Lovington in 1971 and had previously worked in the oilfield for Cactus Drilling and Patterson-UTI. He enjoyed playing jokes on other people, telling good jokes, watching wrestling and collecting movies. He had a big heart and enjoyed volunteering at Good Samaritan Center and helping others. He was preceded in death by his father and one sister: Leah Cassidy and is survived by his mother, Juanita Cunningham of Lovington; two daughters: Michelle Stickney of Lovington and Jennifer and husband Kenneth Yuschock of Lovington; one brother: John Kellogg of Lovington and four sisters: Leona Jones of Paige, TX; Lorraine and husband Billy Breaux of Las Cruces, NM; Lonita Moreno of Lovington and Sylvia and husband Armando Arenivas of Lovington; three grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
