Obituary of Barbara Ann Bradford

Barbara Ann Bradford July 10, 1934 - September 10, 2015 Funeral services for Barbara Ann Bradford, 81, of Lovington, NM will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 10:00 am at Hillcrest Baptist Church with Bro. Wesley McAfee officiating. Burial will follow at Lovington Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home. Mrs. Bradford was born in Idalou, Texas on July 10, 1934 to William Irvin and Lorene (Byerly) Banks and passed away at her residence on September 10, 2015. Barbara attended Texas Tech College and received her Bachelor of Arts in Marketing. She married John William Bradford on June 16, 1956 in Lubbock, TX and they have made their home in Lovington for 59 years. She was very involved in her church activities, serving as a Sunday school teacher for many years. She was a member of the Pink Ladies Auxiliary at the hospital and she enjoyed crocheting, traveling and reading. She was the epitome of motherhood, keeping their home full of laughter and making sure she was there to meet her children when they got home from school. She was preceded in death by her parents and her infant twin brother. Surviving her are her husband, “Brad” of the home, four sons: Tommy and wife Pamela Bradford of Nadine, NM; Jay and wife Kim Bradford of Lafayette, LA; Robert and wife Angie Bradford of Lubbock, TX and Larry Bradford of Hobbs, NM. Also one brother, Jerry Don Banks of Lubbock, TX; seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 14, 2015 from noon until 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
